A long day on the road
We went to eastern Washington for spring break this week to spend time with Mike's parents. I didn't think it would be a very relaxing time, but I spent most of the time not doing much of anything, which was much needed. It was good to see Mike's home town and to meet a few of his relatives. However, the weather was terrible, and there was supposed to be snow in the passes today. So, rather than brave Snoqualmie in the little MR2 without traction devices, we drove around. This entailed taking a tour of half the circumference of the state - from Clarkston to Walla Walla to Umatilla, OR to Portland to Longview to Olympia to Tacoma to Bremerton and, finally, 11 hours later, to Port Angeles. We are grateful to be home safely. Harper the cat is likewise grateful, for a lap. Can you hear him purring?
